A true son of Everest, Peter Hillary reached the heights of Mt. Everest in 2002 for the second time in his life—49 years after his father, the renowned adventurer Sir Edmund Hillary, became the first man to summit the world’s highest peak.
A powerful and dynamic speaker, he takes his audience "with him" on his many extraordinary experiences: to the summit of Mt Everest; traversing Antarctica to the South Pole; feeding a pod of sharks; or making a terrifying descent of K2 down a vast vertical rock face in a vicious storm. He has also followed in his father’s steps of charity and philanthropy.
His work with the Himalayan Trust raises funds for the support of more than 40 schools and hospitals in Nepal. The junior Hillary has lived a life fraught with adventure at the extremes of imagination, from traversing the frozen continent of Antarctica to harrowing descents of K2.
